Buffalo Sabres power forward Evander Kane has been having himself a time this summer. When he is not grinding in the weight room and on the rink, Kane has been having himself a very relaxing off season
Kane has one year remaining on his current contract with the Sabres. Next summer may prove to be more stressful for Kane, especially if he will be switching teams at or before the NHL deadline in March. Or, he may be signing with a new team as an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2018. The 26 year old sniper's name has been a permanent fixture in NHL trade chatter since last summer. He wasn't traded at or before the NHL draft in late June, nor was he traded in early July. Suffice to say that Kane will be a Sabre when the season begins on October 7.
Kane has been communicating with his new GM Jason Botterill and new head coach Phil Housley. Kane is expected to play a huge role for the Sabres in 2017-18.
For now, Kane is enjoying his time away from the rink following his passions.
He's spending a lot of time with family and friends. His puppy is never far from his side. He's exploring the majestic Muskokas, beautiful Banff and magical Maui.
Kane's Instagram account is chock full of interesting adventures.
