Now might be a good time to put an APB out for the "Sabres System".

Its been missing for three weeks.


The Sabres are lost without it. They are trading scoring chances and end to end rushes with every team they play now. That style works if and only if your goaltending can bail you out when you breakdown and give up odd man rushes the other way.


The Buffalo goaltending has been a problem, as has the team's commitment to lock down an opponent and smother with Team D.

We saw evidence of tenacious team D in the first 6 games of the season. We know the forwards and D are capable of playing that way.

So what has happened since then?

Ryan Miller has been a sieve in Boston. Where has his confidence and poise gone? Alright, I'll grant you that he's been snake bitten by tipped shots, however, how does he allow the Kobasew 8 ball in the side pocket, bank shot to make it 4-4?

The last five minutes of the Pens game was a forgettable affair for Buffalo.

Their first five minutes in Boston have been intriguing.


Pommer, Roy and Vanek jump on Fernandez for early goals.

Miller allowed two-- including another Teppo deflection. Teppo now has two deflection goals on Miller in his last two games in Beantown.

The Buffalo Sabres announced today they will debut their new third jersey on Wednesday, November 26 against Boston. Game time is 7 p.m.



This will be the first time the new jerseys will be worn in a game, after being unveiled to the public on September 20. The jersey will be worn 15 times at home, and once on the road (Jan. 1 at Toronto).



Fans will be able to purchase the new third jersey at the Sabres Store inside HSBC Arena beginning at 10 a.m. on November 26. The store will have blank and lettered replica jerseys available for purchase. Pre-orders for the new uniforms were taken after their September debut, and distribution will also begin on November 26. Customers that pre-ordered will be called or emailed when their jersey is available for pick-up.

You think the Sabres are sick and tired of hearing how dominant Milan Lucic was against them a week and a half ago?

Lucic ran over sabres like they owed him money that night. The former Vancouver Giant star was credited with 8 hits and the Sabres could not match the intensity level. 3-1 road loss.

Don't be surprised to see Peters and Kaleta start the game tonight for Buffalo. Lindy Ruff does not like being pushed around. The Sabres had two spirited practices in anticipation of the rematch with the Bruins.

Look for Vanek and company to chip-n-chase all night long. They will have to be smart with the puck in order to beat the "Boston Box and 1".
