Lifelong friends, and hockey buds Tyler Ennis and Jared Surgeon (Minnesota Wild) jumped at the opportunity to play together in the Swiss Hockey League's A Division. The duo arrived in Langnau on Saturday. They will make their SCL Tigers debut against another tandem of NHL best friends, Joe Thornton and Rick Nash, and their SC Davos squad.

HC Davos and SCL Tigers will battle of Tuesday night.

In their first game together in Davos on Saturday, Nash and Thornton were lethal, combining for eight points Nash scored the hat trick and added an assist, while Thornton added four assists.

Nash and Thornton played together in Davos during the 2004-05 lockout.

Grigorenko picked up right where he left off in the season opener on Friday night. Grigo had 2 assists in Quebec's 5-0 win over Baie-Comeau on Sunay. He was +3 and won 18 of 30 draws. His linies were solid: Shaw hatty, +3. Duclair 1 assist, +3.

In two games this weekend, Grigo scored 1G and added 5A. He was +5.


Grigorenko is the second leading scorer in The Q. Jonathan Drouin, Halifax Mooseheads has 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points in two games.

Grigo's linies are equally impressive. Duclair (+6) and Shaw (+5) both have scored 3 goals and added 2 helpers.


This line is lethal. After 2 regular season games, Grigo's line has created 16 points are an impressive +17.

Sabres fans should give credit to Patrick Roy and Darcy Regier for re-inforcing NHL standards with the young gun. Grigo was not interested in playing in Russia with his comrade Nail Yakupov.

Grigo's head and heart are in North America.
