I think Ive seen enough of Ron Rolston's three scoops of vanilla ice cream of a third line.
I'm in the mood to see more chances and scoring potential than shovel work on the third line.
With their season hanging in the balance, its time for Rolston to get resourceful. With 13 regulation losses already in the bank, this team needs to deploy all of its assets now instead of hoping that the turnaround will come organically. If the GM isn't going to make a trade to improve the fortunes if his squad, then its time to dance with who brung ya.
The Sabres are practicing in Newark this afternoon. All hands are on deck except the suspended Pat Kaleta and the injured Alex Sulzer.
Brian Flynn is a nice player. He plays a basic, reliable style. No flash, no dash, no bling.

26-29-29 and 9-63-42 are playing well lately and are adding offense on a consistent basis. Its time for Rolston to flip his script and to create another scoring line. Leino and Grigo vibed well together in training camp. Stafford and Grigo have clicked together lately. Granted, Leino is a wild card right now as he hasn't played in a game all season long. What the Hell. Lets see what 23-25-21 can do.
After today's prax, Leino told John Vogl of the Buffalo News thar he may get the green light to play against his former mates in Philly on Sunday:
"Philly would probably be one of the good options here," the former Flyer said after participating fully in practice in Prudential Center in Newark, where the Sabres face the Devils on Thursday. "I’m having a lot of fun out there. I wish practices would run longer, and that normally doesn’t happen during the season. It’s pretty exciting."
