Are the Caps Trying To Move Someone Out to Sign Biz?

Even though it's pretty common knowledge at this point, BizNasty is close to signing a deal and the Capitals could very well be the team that signs him.

But I received a message earlier tonight about the possibility of Bissonnette having to wait until a trade was done. If that is the Capitals, who are they trying to move out?

The only two names that make sense would be Mike Green and Troy Brouwer.

Green, currently in Paris for his honeymoon, was the target of rumors early in the summer as he is a UFA at the end of the season. His trade value is still relatively high and the likes of the Detroit Red Wings would love to have his services. However, I still don't see the Caps trading him at this point as Head Coach Barry Trotz seems pretty excited to have a full backline with four very capable puck-moving defensemen.

With Troy Brouwer, it's a little different. His value will probably never be as high as it is right now, and, again, Detroit would be a great fit. They are in need of a big, tough forward now that Bertuzzi is not returning. Brouwer could command a decent return if the Caps want to go that route. Washington has a few right wingers at the moment and Brouwer makes the most sense out of the group.

Bissonnette, according to FoxSports, also said that State Taxes could play a role in where he signs.

This is starting to get more interesting - you just never know what could happen at this point.
