It's that time again. The Annual Post-Christmas "What the Ek?" Blog. With the trade freeze lifting at midnight there are a few possibilities to look for...

*The Penguins and Blue Jackets are rumored to be in discussion regarding a few possibilities (I still wish these teams could be in the same division (not to mention the same conference) . these cities are natural and geographical rivals...The Jackets are said to have serious interest in Goligoski while Jared Boll is a player the Pens wouldn't mind at all.

* With the Devils coaching change I am told they are putting off the big sell-off until mid-February...with one exception. They are listening to offers (and getting quite a few for) Jamie Langenbrunner. Add the LA Kings and Ottawa Senators to Toronto, Colorado and Vancouver to teams interested in Jamie Langenbrunner.

* The Canucks are still talking heavily with the Isles...the 3-0 in their last 3 Isles.
