More Players Placed on Waivers today...should these players get bought out they would be added to the Rumor Chart as they then become UFA's

Some of these players will be sent to the minors, while others will be bought out.

On the Oilers...

Have already bought out: Ethan Moreau, Robert Nilsson, and Patrick O'Sullivan. We talked during the HockeyrumorCast about these guys being potentially strong fits for Nashville or Toronto.

On the Islanders....

I have already heard one rumor stating the NY Islanders may have interest in Nilsson, who was a former Islanders player... I am also hearing the Islanders are in on Marc Savard as well.

On the Rangers...

Cleared space, many sources started to speculate this as meaning they would be strong on Spezza. At this point it is more speculative, but I can tell you many sources have been prepared the Rangers would clear space in this manner if they intended to make a big splash on July 1.

On Nabokov...

There are two teams Nabokov most likely will go to I am told. 1 is Tampa, and the other is a team that will surprise you. It is off the record, but it is a team many think already has their starter.

On Toronto...

I am told to be very aware of the Leafs today...at least one deal could indeed go down today.

On the Penguins and Gonchar...

I am starting to hear Gonchar may be close to re-upping in Pittsburgh after all.

On Modano...

The Stars announced today that they will not be offering Mike Modano a contract. Sources tell me the Bruins have interest. stay tuned...
