Source: "Montreal Not Done Adding. Trying to Make a Deal." HBSL is Back!

Make no mistake about it....the Montreal Canadiens don't usually go into a season with over 8 million dollars in cap space. This is NOT a team that needs to save money. This is a team that spends to the limits and always tries to ice the best team available.

So when a source informs me "Montreal is not done adding. They are trying hard to make a deal...I feel this weekend could be key...a trade looks like it could be coming" I believe him/her wholeheartedly.

Montreal is looking to add a center and a defenseman... Currently Drouin is expected to be the team's #1 center and that really isn't where they want to be. I can't help but seeing them making a major play for Duchene. It would have happened already had they had the right d-man to give, and if Sakic keeps his asking price the same it won't happen with Montreal...but it might not happen anywhere else either.

The one thing I trust in this is Marc Bergevin's ability to make creative moves...I could see that coming in a big way. Tyson Barrie is also available and could help the Canadiens...and taking his salary away as well could help make this deal and be a win-win...

It's the best fantasy game every created. Of course, we're a little biased. The HBSL is a hybrid between a salary cap game and a head-to-head fantasy game. Each week you create your 20 man roster based on the actual NHL salary cap and the actual salary cap hits. You then face-off with a fellow hockey fan. At the end of the regular season, we throw the best 128 teams into a 7-week playoff.

There is a Season Ticket Holder bracket and a Free bracket.
