Some Nighttime Rumors from a Pennsylvania Blizzard

Really is the craziest weather ever for this area. The first ever "Blizzard Warning" that I can remember in this area. 50 mph winds and 20 inches of snow on top of 20 inches of snow. Lights flickering and the all the outside shapes that I am accustomed to have blurred together into giant rounded pods.

It is very, very cool.

Here are some quick hits from sources....

* The Whitney sweeps are on and we are in that phase of things where a team interested leading the race one sec can get frustrated by being close and not being able to get it done. That appears to be where the Kings are with Whitney.

* The Bruins and Sabres are in on Whitney. The Sabres may be the best fit as both Whitney and the Sabres want to extend him a few years immediately.

* On Marty Turco. Kind of surprised that there appears to be no definitive teams interested at this point.

*On James Wisniewski. The Blackhawks and Canadiens are rumoured to be interested in the Anaheim D-man.

*On Frolov... There are rumors he is headed to Montreal if Whitney is signed. I am hearing Frolov is off the table right now. In fact I do know LA could have had Kovalchuk for Frolov and they chose to keep him.

*On Afinogenov... The Penguins are a team to watch here...

more to come...
