This has brewing for a few days, but with last night's injury (not sure how serious yet) of Jaden Schwartz, it has intensified. Word is, the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues are once again talking about defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk. The difference this time is David Krejci's name appears to have come up, while there is no word on details or any other possible compensatory players.

Krejci, under contract through 2020-21 at $7.25 million per season, has recorded two goals and 10 points in 16 games for the Black and Gold (and has a full no-movement clause), while Shattenkirk is an unrestricted free agent next summer and has started off with four goals and 14 points in 17 games for the Blues this season.

More to come as this one develops.

We will discuss all this and more on the BuzzCast today at 1pm.
