I am chasing the Heatley story as I continue to hear that the Oilers may be putting the heat on (so to speak)...

However, in a connected story I believe, the Sharks are still talking trade with at least three teams that I have heard about...Maybe as many as five teams.

I am hearing there is a deal pending that could send Marleau to the Habs for Plekanec, or another deal that would send Cheechoo and Douglas Murray to the Isles, or a third that would send Ehrhoff and Cheechoo to the Bruins.

Of course all this may be pending a deal that would send three of these players to Ottawa for Heatley.

It is quite the logjam.

The Hurricanes signed Alberts to a 2 year/2M deal today. Watching him play last year, I feel they got a steal.
