There are reports out that the Flyers are over around 1 million and Shanahan wants 1.5 and this is why this deal is being held up.

While money is always an issue, this would be a VERY surprising twist, as every single person I have talked to either in or close to either camp has said from the beginning that is would not be about the money.

I have calls out, but I highly doubt this has anything to do with the money. I have been hearing from the get go anywhere from 800k to 1.25 M and since Shanahan really preferred to stay close to NY, he wasn't making the money any issue.

As for the Montreal rumours. It is looking more and more like an extension will soon be announced. Komisarek for 4 years is a good bet.
