There is a quite a bit of talk today that Miro Satan is soon to be returning to the NHL and I am hearing that the Sabres may be leading the way. A source informed me that both sides are "highly considering" the option and that Satan could be signed in the next 48 hours. The Sabres are not the only team with interest.
There has been much talk about Giguere possibly being shipped to Toronto, but I am hearing that the Red Wings may have the best package for the Ducks if Giggy does indeed decide he wants to leave town.
Nylander has cleared waivers and as I stated yesterday I do firmly believe that the Forsberg situation is coming to a head as well. I am told a Forsberg signing could happen "quicker than anyone is expecting." I really don't see why Foppa would sign so quickly, unless the numbers are just so good that he feels the need to.
The Oilers are reportedly once again in talks with an Eastern team, this time the NJ Devils who I have heard like "a center from the roster."
The Rangers are also looking for a solution given the recent injury woes. Shanahan? Not impossible I am told.
The Maple Leafs could be offering up Toskala to help out the Hurricanes who need desperately to get a goaltender to keep them in the race. I keep hearing Ray Whithey's name mentioned and I know the Leafs like him a great deal. Obviously there would have to be more coming to Carolina than only Toskala.
