On Kulemin...
A reunion with Malkin looks like it could be happening. Nashville has interest too and there is at least one part of the Leafs organization that wants to keep him.
On Sam Gagner...
The Oilers are talking to quite a few teams and there appear to be two scenarios growing with Gags. First he gets traded as some sort of draft pick swap at the draft or he gets dealt after July 1 to a team that gets shut out of UFA. Sounds like Edmonton is taking both as "sell high" points. Tampa and Buffalo are interested...Boston appears to have a watchful eye on this as well.
On Steve Ott...
The Flyers love Ott and I believe are going to make him a prime target.
On Nabokov...
Speaking of the Flyers...Nabokov may be their choice to backup Mason...The Pens, Caps and Wild will be there if he isn't taken by Philly...however I wouldn't be shocked if the Flyers acquired his rights ahead of time. (weird sense of Deja...)
On Mike Richards....
I hate reporting the Maple Leafs are interested in anyone, because everyone else always reports how they are interested in EVERYONE, but there are a very few Leaf sources I trust because they rarely give me info and when they do it is usually dead on...One such handsome source told me this morning the Leafs consider Mike Richards as one of their best plays for a Center..
On Patrick Marleau...
Carolina and Tampa are still very interested, however Detroit has come into the fray on this one. A Sharks/Wings trade never would have happened with Detroit in the West.
On the BIG IMMINENT TRADE...
Sounds spooky... All I can say is if it happens it looks like it is out off Ontario....meaning Spezza or Phaneuf...but that is just a guess at this point based on who is telling me about this one. I am also getting sparse info which usually means the deal is very close. As always, things can fall apart, but to this point I am told nothing has fallen apart yet...but obviously NOT done.
