In case you missed it...This opening from last night in LA was something special!
This just in...
On Gagner...
Hearing that while the reports of Gagner for Umberger from last week aren't completely out of reality, there is definitely more to that deal...from both teams. Was told the players the Oilers want has not been mentioned and that the deal would be a 2 for 2 plus a pick trade.
The Sabres have also looked into Sam Gagner, but found the price to be too high...
On Niskanen...
The Penguins are without a GM, still but I am told that they have told Niskanen they really want him back and expect to sign him to an extension. The Red Wings, Capitals and Oilers also have interest in Niskanen...but as of now I am told the Penguins will get this done..
On Andrei Markov...
The Canadiens have said they want Markov back, but I am told the Red Wings and Devils may be willing to go much higher..Markov was healthy this season and huge part of the Canadiens run...However with an enormous Subban contract on the horizon....
On Matt Moulson...
Hearing more and more Moulson will return on July 1 to the Sabres...
