The Rangers have been the most pro-active team about camp invites so far inviting three quality players to camp: Exelby, Semenov, and Fedotenko... (I am still curious as to why the Flyers did not sign Fedotenko to help out with some auxiliary scoring as well as helping out the Zherdev transition)
Yet the Rangers are very much in the trade rumor mill as well. There are rumors of the Rangers and Flames working on a smaller deal which could help set up one of the more intriguing trade rumors of the summer...
Rangers to acquire Cogliano and perhaps Souray from the Oilers in exchange for Redden, Dubinsky and a defensive prospect.
On Bobby Ryan...
The deal may close in Anaheim, but it is certainly not done...Last week many were reporting it was indeed done...I would be shocked if it wasn't done in the next 48 hours...yet it is my job to report rumors from credible sources, and today many are hearing whispers that the Leafs and Ducks may be once again in discussion regarding Ryan.
One source tied it to Kaberle saying, " What I heard was the main reason the Kaberle trade didn't happen prior to the deadline, was the Leafs had an inkling the Ryan situation was getting dicey and Kaberle could be a key piece, not the key mind you, but Anaheim would want a puck moving D as part of any deal for Bobby Ryan...it does appear to be possibly connected."

I was just told to look for the NJ Devils Cap Space Deal in the next 36 hours. trying to hunt down who is involved.
On Marc Staal and Rangers...
as an aside...there is very good chance that Marc Staal could ink a deal with the NY Rangers today
On Jason Spezza...
Reports that Spezza refused to talk to media today...odd for him
Luongo gives up the C.
Think this is a very good idea. ALways felt Roberto put too much pressure on himself...
