1pm: Phoenix @ Detroit...

It's funny. I was talking to Bill Meltzer from hockeybuzz about game 1 in this series and he noted, "If any other goalie in the NHL had the kind of game Bryzgalov had in game 1 there would be all sorts of controversy and doubt." It's true, but as we agreed, if anyone has earned the right to be not questioned or doubted, it's Ilya...and Ilya usually bounces back from the few non-stellar games in which he has with a lights out performance...

My pick... Phoenix 3- Detroit 0

5pm Buffalo @ Philadelphia

I was one of those who felt the winner of game 1 of this series would take the series, but I will say this...if the two teams played the way they did in Game 1, Buffalo will not win this series. The Flyers showed me al ot more than I expected in Game 1, and despite losing I am actually more confident now in their ability to take this series. They limited Buffalo to almost no chances, while peppering Miller. Bobrovsky was not the issue and the Flyers looked like a more confident team after game 1 than I had seen them in some time. The experience from last year's playoffs is a major factor with this team. That being said, Miller can win a playoff series...there is no doubt about that..

My pick: Philly 3 Buffalo 2(OT)

7pm Montreal @ Boston

It's official...these Habs are a damn good playoff team. This series will be all the 7 game war I thought. Price picked up where Halak left off, and just like last season the Habs key to success is to score early and keep their opponent chasing the game for 55 minutes. Gionta is a very underrated playoff performer (throughout his entire career) and PK Subban has officially arrived. He gives the Habs the key element they lacked last year...a tough D mant who distracts, annoys, and more than anything else keeps the other team honest to the point they forget about playing their game and get sucked into his. These Bruins need this one today though. And they are capable of huge offensive outputs.

My pick: Boston 5- Montreal 2

10pm ET LA Kings @ San Jose

The Sharks winning game 1 was so important and the Kings definitely could look back at game 1 like a huge missed opportunity. The Sharks, on cue, did what I talked about in game 1...they stole momentum back after LA had grabbed it. The Kings fight was more impressive than I think anyone anticipated, and if they win today the series could be theirs to have...however I feel the Sharks are getting a sense this is their time...

My pick: San Jose 2 LA Kings 0

RUMOR: Brad Richards wants to be a Ranger (e4)

It has long believed that three teams will dominate the Brad Richards sweeps this summer, Toronto, LA, and the NY Rangers. There are those who feel the Leafs will attempt to blow away all competitors, in fact I had a source, a scout who told me straight out teams aren't even thinking about Brad because the Leafs offer will be too high.

However, there are those today, one source close to both Brad Richards and Martin St. Louis, who tells me Brad wants to play for Torts and wants be a NY Ranger...I have heard that Tortorella and Richards talk constantly so this concept wouldn't shock me...and there is no doubt the Rangers need scoring...

What's the Buzz?

1. Give your picks for today's games
2. Does Brad Richards give the Rangers what they need?
3. Should the Leafs make a huge play?
