Again, sorry for the quick posts, but I am on vacation "technically" and my family is a little sick on normally seeing me behind a computer screen!

Just talked to a source that said the Gaborik talks are heating up and three teams, Montreal, Pittsburgh and the NY Islanders are leading the way, but that the Islanders deal is "far and away the best one for the Wild if they can convince Gaborik to re-sign long term on the Island."

Tomorrow is my last day of NON-Hockey vacation. Tomorrow night my family drives an hour north to Tampa to meet with Jon Jordan, his lovely wife to catch the Habs/Lightning Game, and then my wife and I leave the kids in Florida with our in-laws and head to Chicago where I will be covering the Winter Classic and she will be "staying warm with friends."

Plus a kick-ass NY Eve party with some of hockey's finest!
