As I make my way to board my flight at Pearson, I have to say that the flurry at the end of last night’s World Cup of Hockey Final was phenomenal. Jaroslav Halak played great throughout the tournament, but was spectacular last night holding off the Canadians.

The penalty call on Anze Kopitar late in the third was questionable, but Team Canada was beating at the door for most of the last twenty minutes, so it was only a matter of time before they scored.

The Tournament MVP is a point of debate. Sidney Crosby is always deserving, but this time around the goal scoring exploits of Brad Marchand or Carey Price’s stupendous goaltending may have been the better choice.

Now the World Cup is over, there are two weeks of exhibition games before the NHL regular season begins.

We will discuss the game and more today on the Buzzcast at 3:30:

It's the best fantasy game every created. Of course, we're a little biased. The HBSL is a hybrid between a salary cap game and a head-to-head fantasy game. Each week you create your 20 man roster based on the actual NHL salary cap and the actual salary cap hits. You then face-off with a fellow hockey fan. At the end of the regular season, we throw the best 128 teams into a 7-week playoff.

There is a Season Ticket Holder bracket and a Free bracket.

Good luck!
