UPDATE: Winnipeg’s Josh Morrissey suspended one game for cross-checking Minnesota’s Eric Staal.
This hit last night in the Jets game felt VERY targeted and therefore I believe should be a MAJOR suspension...Given the circumstances...a check like this away from the play...to the head of your opponents best player? Why is this even a debate?
The following was a 15 game suspension....happen in the stone ages, was Dave Brown for sure, but also was at least close to the play...
Couturier NOT at Morning Skate...
No word yet on Couturier's status tonight, but I would say if he can play at all, he will. If he isn't in, this is a VERY serious injury and he is likely done for the year... This doesn't mean the injury won't have an affect on his play, but Sean Couturier is about as "Old School Hockey/Eddie Shore" as you will find in 2018. He is the real deal.
The Knights continue to delight and amaze...
Find me the person who picked them to sweep the Kings....I have them winning, but in seven games. This season continues to be insane, and you can bet your house that everyone will pick them to beat their next opponent...be it San Jose or Anaheim... and then they will likely face Nashville or Winnipeg....Both will provide way more of a challenge...to be sure...but it is possible the Knights will find themselves in the Stanley Cup Final...seriously...They are redefining everything the pundits thought about this sport. I love it..
