My main blog is still to come, the Canadiens are in town here in Philly tonight, but I have it from a VERY strong source connected to one of the teams that the NJ Devils are working up a MAJOR package to try to acquire Carey Price to be their "Goaltender Post Marty."
I have heard people in the past who have speculated on this, noting Price is similar to Brodeur in style and would be a good fit in the NJ system.
There is of course no word on Brodeur's future plans as of yet, but I was told in no uncertain terms, "This is way more than a Rumor. The players the Canadiens could be getting here are quite tempting. Especially one of them."
When I pushed harder to find out who they were speaking of I was simply told.
"Top 3 forward."
