Good morning from HOT, HOT, HOT Margate, NJ!

Have the whole family coming down to the family beach house for the weekend, but don't think for a second I won't be spending large amounts of time talking to sources and staring at a computer screen! (woohooo)

Fact is, this summer, the UFA rumors and Trade rumors are coming in at a consistent pace. Fun times, and I wanted to thank you for your truly unbelievable support of Hockeybuzz.

In the last thirty days we have set some serious records around here for traffic. 27 Million pageviews from 1.2 Million unique people. All I can say is I am humbled by your support and motivated like never before to make it worth your while. We will have some cool new features to announce in the next month or so... I want to take hockeybuzz to another level, and because of all you and your loyalty to clicking on our site, I am confident we can.

So seriously, a big heartfelt "Thank You" from myself, the writers, and staff of Hockeybuzz.com.

Now onto the rumors...

On Montreal and Price...

It's going nowhere fast here...I am hearing, for the first time, talks are getting a bit "dicey." The Canadiens are in an odd position here having moved Halak prior to signing Price. I am curious what you folks in Montreal think. How much would you pay Price, and for how long?

On Cogliano...

I am hearing the Islanders, Predators, and Sabres are interested in Cogliano...essentially the same players who are in on Stempniak. "This week will be very intriguing for a few second tier guys," a source confirmed.

On Niemi...

This week the Hawks cleared a little more cap space in their attempt to get closer to being able to sign Niemi. A little closer...I will say this, as I said in the Podcast yesterday, I firmly believe the Hawks fans are VASTLY underrating the importance of retaining Niemi. The Hawks have lost so many key role players this summer and if they lose their goalie as well (who was much better than people give credit) they risk the danger of repeating the Tampa Bay Lightning mistakes after they won their Cup. The similarities are all there.
