The NHL has upheld the 10-game suspension to Ducks forward Antoine Vermette.
Some quick notes from a rest stop in Newburg, PA enroute to cover the Stadium Series game...
First off, for those who say there are too many of these types of games you really need to go to one to understand it. Yes, the TV ratings may fall with more outdoor games being played, but the excitement that surrounds them when you are attending or preparing to attend one is really unrivaled... As I write this I am sitting eating a Roy Rogers Roast Beef in a rest stop on the PA Turnpike and the place is packed with Flyers fans who are driving the 5 hours across the State to see this event. There is such a fun energy. It is hard to describe unless you are here first hand... It is all that's good with hockey...in my opinion....

According to one source there may be a perfect storm brewing here that will see Marc Andre Fleury moved to Calgary and Kevin Shattenkirk dealt to Pittsburgh as a pure rental.
On Montreal...
I am hearing the Canadiens are growing increasingly frustrated on the Matt Duchene front. "They feel as if they are trying to aim at a moving target...and because of this they are starting to question if Sakic and the Avs are really serious...They are waiting out the weekend, but are going to demand some answers soon...they feel they have come as far as was asked..."'
