It goes without saying that Game 4 of the Penguins-Capitals series is a pivotal one for both teams but especially for the Capitals.
Call me crazy but I have felt for a few years that almost as much as Sidney Crosby and arguably even more than Evgeni Malkin, the key to the Pens lies in having a healthy and effective Kris Letang atop the Pittsburgh blueline. The Pens seem to play at a different, higher level when Letang is playing at his best. Without him, Pittsburgh often seems more vulnerable.
With Letang having been suspended for this game -- and he was lucky that was all he got -- the Capitals had better take advantage of his absence to make it a three-game-series. With the Caps having lost four of their last six playoff games, dating back to the Philly series, they really need to have a statement game in Game 4 on the road.
