Kings, Leafs, Hawks, Wings, Islanders after Semin...Bill Peters to Detroit, |

You could kind of see this one coming.
Semin has signed a few one year deals now and is as talented as they come, but the Caps need to balance their team more and Semin has not come up big for them at playoff time..Also, as Kevin Allen of USA Today tweeted out yesterday:
"With FA grabbing almost done, the Buffalo Sabres are at the cap ceiling and Toronto and Detroit have $7M-plus left. Didn't see that coming."
By the way, if you don't already I highly suggest following Kevin's twitter
Kevin Allen on Twitter or reading his stuff

Semin is now officially part of the Steve Stamkos Dominos. With Stamkos rumors pitching up it is not hard to imagine a bidding war via trade for Stamkos...with Semin going to a team who doesn't land Stamkos.
Interesting summer coming!
In other rumors and news....
*The Preds have come to terms with Sergei Kostitsyn on a two-year deal, therefore avoiding arbitration..
*Mark Parrish has signed with the Senators. (strong pickup)
*Drew Doughty apparently has a deal in LA, but the Kings are waiting to announce it...why? Possibly because another trade has to occur first...but I hear he is as good as signed in LA.
*The NY Rangers are close to signing Anisimov. (e4)
* Bill Peters, head coach of Rockford in the AHL looks to be the new Assistant coach of Detroit.
More to come.
