Update 225pm:
I'm hearing a very strong rumor right now that the Phil Kessel trade could go down as early as tonight. According to my source a few teams were close and while the price is very high, The leafs may move on that a bit to get this done so they can plan for the many other moves they have coming. The source went on to say the leafs will get multiple pieces and those pieces will help in some other deals. Also, don't rule out the New York Rangers. I wouldn't put them as a favorite, or even on the chart as of yet, but at least one source told me it's very possible

On Matt Beleskey....
There is no shortage of suitors for Beleskey, but according to a very good source the Canadiens actually tried to get Beleskey last year when they ended up acquiring Smith-Pelly..."They love his game and see him slotting in perfectly" the source texted me. The NJ Devils are also extremely high on Beleskey as are the Wild and Yotes....
On Justin Williams...
The Blues are looking for leadership and Hitch especially loves Justin Williams...I expect Williams will be better off taking a short term deal at this point and becoming the playoff specialist...like Claude Lemieux from years gone by. The Preds, Caps, Devils and to a lesser extent Sharks are interested...
On Craig Anderson...
Not a UFA, the Sens are taking calls on Anderson, who may be the perfect fit for the Sharks or Oilers. I am told the price is "through the roof" right now, and it probably should be. The Sharks with Anderson can really change their culture and the Oilers know Anderson could be a stabilizing veteran presence...in a similar way that Luongo was in Florida last year.
More to come today....things are really heating up.. We are in for quite a fun two weeks.
