Just a quick hit here before my prediction blog…

The Bruins have announced the Claude Julien will be back as their coach in 2016-17...which is how it should be. I don't believe Claude Julien was the problem this year at all. Not in the slightest...In some ways the Bruins overachieved early, and while they did collapse down the stretch they are definitely a team in transition and it can be said that the reason they did not bottom out has a lot to do with Claude Julien.

Add to that fact, that the Bruins knew he would be the next coach of the Ottawa Senators five minutes after he was fired.

The New York Rangers have also called up goalie Magnus Hellberg from the AHL. It is easy to jump to conclusions that this means Lundqvist's eye injury is serious, but I am hearing this may be more precautionary. Martin Biron, who used to back up Lundqvist in New York, was on XM radio this morning and put it perfectly, saying how Lundqvist is the kind of goalie who is a finely tuned machine, who is at his best when everything is perfect. He called him a Ferrari. That being said, Lundqvist has also started a remarkable amount of games in a row for the Rangers in the playoffs.
