It is sounding more and more like Jiri Hudler is going to be signed in the VERY near future. One source adding, "there are three teams, maybe a fourth, but the Canucks have gone the furthest towards getting it done..."
Based on what I have heard, NJ and Columbus are also in on Hudler, but I get the impression that both are looking at Gagner as well and may be leaning more towards him for the moment. Of course only one can get Gagner, so the other could suddenly become a much bigger player for Hudler...

I keep hearing how the Canadiens are working the phones more consistently than any other team as we head towards mid-July. They are looking to add defensive depth and size and scoring up front. Just a hunch here, but based on the simple amount of rumors I am hearing centered around the Canadiens I would be shocked if the Habs didn't pull of a deal by the end of the weekend....or early next week.
