With the exception of very few teams, almost any team can be for sale...

That being said, the Sabres aren't going anywhere..

A story broke today that said exploratory talks about selling the team are ongoing. The article also stated that Jim Balsillie was involved and that the team would play some games in Hamilton.

The Sabres have denied this with Larry Quinn stating what I know to be 100% accurate, “We are not in negotiations to sell the team and as we have stated in the past, we will never entertain discussions to move the team out of Buffalo, NY.”

I am chasing down a really intriguing rumour involving a second team in Toronto as we speak...This one has some serious legs and the concept that the group hoping to get a Toronto NHL franchise is putting forth is in my opinion brilliant and would be virtually useless for MLSE to try and block..

I am making a few more calls on this, but I hope to have this story up in the AM if not before...

Word in now that Jay Bouwmeester may indeed be the next big move.

"Ottawa is close, but another team in the Western Conference is now Challenging. "

I believe that this team is Colorado but I do not know for sure at this point.
