For a while there the Leafs looked like they were moving on from the "Trade JvR" world. Obviously the cap could dictate the Leafs and force their hand at some point, but unless the right D-man is available why not play this one out and benefit from JvR this year.
However, rumors have once again picked up and three teams are hot and heavy with the Leafs right now again with regard to JvR. This according to a well respected NHL source...
The NYR are team #1 in this. The Rangers had discussions regarding Bozak last week..as reported by Larry Brooks...I am told those talks may have subsided with Toronto asking for more than the Rangers would pay...but as can happen the talks turned to JvR and they have progressed into more of a "truly viable scenario."
Also in on JvR? The Columbus Blue Jackets and Florida Panthers.
Flyers/Habs Update...
Talking to a source very close and the talks are still ongoing, however the Habs keep wanting to move Galchenyuk and the Flyers want Pacioretty. The Flyers won't give Sanheim for Galchenyuk and that is the the chief target for the Habs.
