Hey all, It's 3 o'clock in Colorado.

Getting a moment away from the phones to write is no easy task on these days...I promise to answer your questions tonight (we did answer three in today's podcast) I am heading to cover the Flyers/Caps after I post this blog, so expect the next update once I arrive in the press box in Phily....

On the Islanders...

A source tells me they are prepared to do "Whatever it takes" to add at the Deadline and by far the top player on their list is Matt Duchene...for obvious reasons, not the least of which is his relationship with John Tavares... For Duchene's sake I hope this either happens soon or he gets assurances that he is staying put. The guy is too nice a player/person for this to drag on...

I do believe the Habs can end this now if they are willing to part with Galchenyuk.

On the Leafs..

It has been debated every which way to Thursday, but as of now I am told there is ZERO chance the Leafs are sellers at the deadline, especially when it comes to defense. You need to remember that while this team MAY not see themselves as contenders/buyers, the combo of Shanahan, Lamoriello, and Babcock are NOT going to put themselves into a position of weakness going into the playoffs should injury hit. The value for expiring contracts on guys like Hunwick and Polak is far less than the value of having them in a series against Montreal or Washington...

Stay tuned...the night is young.
