To see the most current team speculation on all the possible trade-able players and some comments updated regularly, go to The Rumor Chart. Players are added and adjusted throughout the days as to what percentages I feel are their most likely destinations based on the hundreds of phone calls, emails, texts, IMs and telegrams I receive.

Per TSN Darren Dreger, Dareen Helm has signed a 4 year 8.5 extension. Helm is one of the few RFA's Detroit needed to get tied up before they embark on what will be their most interesting UFA summer since the Cap hit.

*Oli Jokinen is at that breaking point we talk about a lot. He will either sign a deal with Calgary VERY soon or he will be breaking ties...likely this week. The Islanders have the money and the desire to add his skill. Jokinen and Stoll are the top two UFA's at center and demanding attention...more than they probably are worth, but attention.

*Hudler. Can't help but wonder, with the commitment made to Helm, if the Wings are preparing to sever ties with Jiri Hudler. Hearing the Canadiens and Canucks are gearing up for this top 6 player...

*Suter. We have heard constantly over the past six months that Suter wants to see a commitment to Nashville improving the talent up front before committing to the Preds. Talking to people today, this strategy puts the Preds in a bit of a Catch 22. Should the Preds go hard after a forward like Nash and get him they may not be able to retain both Suter and Weber. Should Suter walk away the Preds need to think about adding defensive depth, not offense. Tough spot for Poile. Many believe Poile is trying to extend Weber first so that Suter will stay. In his press conference a few days ago Poile was uncharacteristic in his statement "We hope the prospect of playing the rest of his career alongside Shea Weber is something Ryan finds appealing." That was Poile addressing Suter pretty much directly, while tipping his hand a bit.

*Schultz...I keep hearing more and more how the Leafs may trade Gardiner to Edmonton to get Yakupov and then Schultz would sign with Gardiner in Edmonton. Meanwhile..the Leafs would trade up in the draft to get Yakupov's Russian line-mate from Sarnia...Can't help but remember how Burke pulled off the coup of a lifetime drafting both Sedins in Vancouver.

More to come including a Jagr update.
