Is keeping Michel Therrien worth losing Pacioretty and Subban?

I get a coach trying to turn his team against him as a strategy, and Therrien has done this before with success in Pittsburgh. The Canadiens are playing good hockey and are unified against the common enemy, however I continue to hear more and more that what is said and what is actually happening is "variable" to put it lightly.

Earlier this year it took the Habs way too long to endorse PK for team Canada, and even after public statements just how behind PK they are is in question...

And now, with the freeze coming to a close, the rumors of Max Pacioretty possibly being moved to the Rangers for Del Zotto are persistent.

Trading Max or further alienating PK is an absolute disaster waiting to happen to an organization which has waited a long time for these sorts of talents and has put in the energy to develop these players.

Is this all a game by Therrien or is this a dangerous pattern?
