"Kane will be traded before the deadline" Kings Back in

Breaking News....

A few weeks ago it looked like Evander Kane was days, if not hours away from being dealt... But we are learning a lot about Jason Botterill here....He is very thorough and not afraid to play hardball...a trait which Sabres fans should be more than happy about since they have seen somewhat the opposite over the past few years.

At that point Kane looked to be headed to Pittsburgh...One source saying "You can put Pitt at 90% on your chart..." but the deal didn't happen and some frustration surrounding those talks has some murmurs and rumors saying the Penguins are looking elsewhere for offense...perhaps to Pacioretty...

Well today, a source I spoke to said the following:

"Three teams have made it known they will pay more for Kane NOW than they will if they have to wait a month until the deadline...Quite simply teams are looking at the tight standings and getting a few more goals NOW could equate to playoff money...Evander Kane will be traded before the deadline...likely far ahead of it...soon"

One team that is back in on this is LA Kings....the Kings are still talking to Edmonton as well, but Evander Kane looks to be back on their radar.

The Predators look to be backing off a bit...Pacioretty is in play with Nashville as well...

The question "What will the return be?" is on many GM's minds and the general answer appears to be "more than you'd expect, but not as much as was thought prior to Pacioretty being available. If he is indeed available."

more to come...Buzz @3
