So many GREAT offers for Karlsson…Sorry it took so long, but I can GUARANTEE you one thing.... I got it done faster than it will actually take to make this deal!

This experiment was fascinating because it showed pretty much how this would actually play out. Several great offers and several not a chance offers…No matter how you slice it this is incredibly tough on both sides…Here are some of my favorite offers:

boltsfan48:Karlsson to TAMPA

Tyler Johnson, Ryan Callahan, Slater Koekkoek, 1st rounder 2018, 2nd rounder 2019.

(I think it would take at least another first, but Tampa would be basically unstoppable…I question if Ottawa makes a trade in the division…)

BINGO!: Karlsson to Carolina…for
Justin Faulk, Victor Rask, Jake Bean, 2018 2nd round pick.

(there would HAVE To be a first rounder in this deal)

Willaged: Karlsson to Pittsburgh
Letang, Sheary, 1st.
(too many injuries for Letang)

OilHead1989 and Hicks76: Karlsson to Edmonton
Draisitl, Klefbom conditional 1st if if we sign Karlsson
(very intriguing..very danaging to Edmonton though. Hicks 76 made a fantastic argument though and also got Stone in the deal.)

Klinger34: Karlsson to NOT Toronto.
Ottawa is not trading him to Toronto so it doesn't matter what I offer.
(probably dead true)

Angry White Male: Karlsson to EDMONTON
Karlsson for Lucic, Draistaitl, RNH one of Klefbom/Nurse/Larsson and a first
(I agree with Sens fan forgetteroorWORSE who said “That's a decent offer. I'd want Nurse.”)

thejonathans:Karlsson to NYR
McDonagh, Fast, 2nd, and Chytl
(intriguing but first must be included…)

Camel: Karlsson to Toronto
Send to Leafs:Erik Karlson, Johnny Oduya
2nd round picks in 2018 and 2019

Sens will receive
1st round picks in 2018 and 2019
2nd round pick in

(like where you are going here, but there needs to be a player coming back who is already starring in the NHL…see the next deal)

CodyRyan511

SENS GET:
MARNER
LILJEGREN
LEIVO
2018 1ST
CONDITIONAL 2019 2ND RD. PICK IF KARLSSON SIGNS

LEAFS GET:
KARLSSON
STANLEY (D-MAN PROSPECT)

(IF the Sens would be willing to move Karlsson in division it would take Marner…I fully agree)

arichardson22: Karlsson to Philly

From PHL: Ghost, Simmonds, 2017 1st , 2017 1st from STL.
(If Simmonds and Karlsson are both extended this is a starting point…and the Philly picks can’t be protected..)

Flamin_Irishmin : Karlsson to Calgary
Dougie Hamilton
Sam Bennett
Dillon Dube
2019 3rd round pick.

(not enough…need a first or two firsts)

usmcaaron: Karlsson to St Louis.
Colton Parayko, Alex Steen, Petteri Lindbohm, & Jordan Bennington

(Getting Parayko would be extremely tempting)

Hawks 18: Karlsson to Chicago
Blackhawks Receive: Erik Karlsson, Mike Condon
Senators Receive: Artem Anisimov, Ryan Hartman, Gustav Forsling, Corey Crawford and conditional 2019 1st Round Pick (based on re-signing Karlsson)

(The Hawks moving Crawford is intriguing….)

Orrin: Karlsson to Toronto
Travis Dermott
Jeremy Bracco
Kasperi Kapanen
Connor Carrick
1st this draft
SJ OR TOR's 2nd round pick this draft whichever is better at year end

To Toronto:
Erik Karlson
Clarke MacArthur's contract

(Macarthur’s contract is interesting…but I don’t think enough…)

And the winner is....

All of these were very worthy of discussion…however, I feel the most realistic and perhaps soundest offer may be from

cj73:Karlsson to St Louis
Pietrangelo, Kostin, Thompson, and a conditional 1st if we can sign Karlsson.

That's the one I am accepting…your thoughts?
