Thirty Eight Days. That's all there is left until the NHL Trade Deadline. We are very much in it now...The rumors are starting to pick up, and yet the focus has rarely been more all over the map. Too many buyers, WAY too few sellers has the entire deadline game looking for some sense of direction....

On Erik Karlsson...
There is no doubt that Karlsson's name being on this chart is beyond fascinating...He wants to play somewhere he could possibly win...that is for certain. Today I heard an incredible rumor. The Vegas Golden Knights are HEAVY in on Erik Karlsson. "100% true," a source confirmed...and person close to Karlsson wouldn't rule it out.
"Very interesting," the source said, "You are the first who has asked me about them and frankly I am surprised it took this long. Yes, he would happily go there...many players would. It's a wonderful place to live and they are doing it right...and of course Gallant has so much respect."
On Evander Kane...
Yes, the Penguins have interest, and came very close to doing the deal last week...as reported here and elsewhere...but Botteril is playing this very well and knows the importance...there are at least 3-5 other teams...Nashville, Florida, San Jose, and even Carolina are keeping Tabs...The Kings too...although I keep hearing about Patrick Maroon with them...
On Maroon...
The Kings are still trying to get Maroon to play with Kopitar and Brown, but the Penguins and Wild have also gotten in on this...
