As is the case with Shattenkirk, Cam Fowler has value. And teams have been calling. The difference with Fowler is that times may be getting a bit more desperate in Anaheim. The Ducks are NOT a Cap team. Anaheim has their own internal salary and they never go over it. Just ask Brian Burke from back in the day.

And right now the Ducks are up against it big time with players still to sign. Fowler needs to move. And soon.

The problem is EVERY team knows this and is trying to essentially steal Cam Fowler from Anaheim. So as of today i am hearing Anaheim is trying to change the narrative by adding another player/prospect into the conversation....and therefore hoping to get more of a reasonable return..

As an aside, I keep hearing that NJ may be the leading candidate to land Fowler. I have heard NJ has considered a scenario where they could land both Fowler AND Shattenkirk.
