Nashville claimed Svatos off waivers. This is a smart move, as it keeps him away from the Blues and bolsters the Preds offense.

There is a general feeling out there today that the Devils have a taker for half of Rolston's salary, but I am not hearing that team is Toronto as is being speculated and rumoured today. I do however feel the Leafs have serious interest in Langenbrunner, and one source tells me the Leafs are closing in on a deal for a "Top Center" which could go down as early today or tomorrow.

Note: The source would not confirm the player, and I am only speculating the player to be Langenbrunner.

On the Preds...

I am hearing they have serious interest in a top 6 forward as well. A few names I am hearing include Tim Connolly and Andrew Brunette.

On the Penguins...

Just heard a rumor that the Pens may consider bringing in Alexei Kovalev as a rental this year to help bolster Crosby's wing.
