This from a source this morning: One source that I trust deeply, who is very close to the situation tells me that there is a major decision on the table today regarding a proposed deal that was presented on Thursday. He told me a little of the deal, that it involved two others teams, the Sharks and the Islanders...he also told me that quite an interesting prospect from the Islanders would end up in Montreal.

He promised to fill me in "early this evening."

What I do know, from other conversations that I have had over the past few weeks, is that the Sharks really like Plekanec and Halak. I also believe that the Habs signing a one-year deal with Plekanec was directly in preparation for this deal.

It could get interesting today, or the Habs could nix this...Either way I hope to dig and find out more..
