Quick hits here with more to come after the kids school Halloween parade!

A source has informed me that Scott Niedermayer may be considering a move later this season that would land him either back in NJ or with the Bruins or Flyers.

We are a ways off here, because this will surely be a deadline move to max cap space but a source told me, "Scott gives the word and the bidding war is on in full force."

Imagine Niedermayer reunited with Pronger in Philly. The Flyers have tried and come close on multiple occasions over the years to land Scott Niedermayer. Cap space is a huge issue, but all it would take is a major player going down to injury to free up the space between now and the end of February.

Speaking of cap space, the New Kids on the Block in the West that are atop the Conference have a ton of it. The Avalanche, Kings and Coyotes could all be major players come the deadline if they are still near the top and start to feel their chances of Stanley increasing.

The Red Wings are also very much in the market for a goalie and I am hearing Toskala's name being mentioned a great deal along with Giguere. I think Toskala is the far safer bet...For now. The Wings need to make something happen soon...
