Hooray! I am back. Feel 90% today and that is awesome by me!

Normally, when rumors about a player who is considered as lynchpin as Carey Price surface I completely ignore them unless they are coming from a source I trust. Halak is a perfect backup. Perfect backups can sometimes look like starters, but if you make them the starter you may soon see that they are indeed a solid backup.

Think of the long-time backups that have gone on to star in the NHL. Short term...yes. Win a Stanley Cup? Not often. I am sure that I am missing some but the last backup that comes to mind with me was Andy Moog. I suppose you could say the Dom Hasek was a backup for a spell...Craig Anderson of course is showing success currently...

Anyway, back to the Habs...I received word this morning that I "shouldn't be ignoring these rumors this time, and that what people don't realize is that the Canadiens aren't doing this to make Halak the starter. The Habs aren't selling when it comes to Price...they are buying. If the deal I heard does go down, the fans in Montreal will have another goalie that they will love."

I pressed, but I could not get any more info...yet.

One thing that is certain: GOALIES are currently ruling the world. Look at the teams that are shocking us all with their hot starts and you will see a goalie.
