Make no mistake about this, Ilya Bryzgalov will return to the NHL. There is at least one team right now almost ready to jump, but Bryz is also realizing he needs to do a little proving to get the kind of deal he seeks. And there is a real shortage of quality backups in the NHL to the point that a key injury in any one of a dozen cities could result in a panic and an Ilya.

Therefore, as reported by Darren Dreger in Philly tonight, it appears Bryz may become a Las Vegas Wrangler in the ECHL...that is if this isn't a maneuver of sorts...it could still be trumped by an NHL team, or it could be just a weekend in Vegas...
