Quick hit update...
The Boston Bruins are talking to many, many teams tonight it appears in their effort to find help on the blue-line. They are still hopeful on Keith Yandle, even though his rights were moved to Florida, but that move seems to have acted like a catalyst tonight.
I am told they put a huge effort for Shea Weber in Nashville, but the Preds said no way and aren't moving Weber. They also called about Jacob Trouba (as have a few other teams) but Winnipeg GM Kevin Cheveldayoff has proven good to his word to date and is not even listening to offers on Trouba.
The Bruins are still in communication with St. Louis regarding Kevin Shattenkirk and that may be their best option at this point.
On Vesey...
Despite his rights being traded to Buffalo there are still many who feel he may end up in Boston or Toronto. I have heard Boston all along, and even rumors that the family in Boston was not happy with his rights being dealt away.
At the end of the day the kid may just really want to play with Jack Eichel. That bet is as good as any.
More to come in the am...if not before.
