Just a quick update here....got a text from a source , a source VERY familiar with the negotiations, and he told me a few interesting tidbits regarding Radulov's Contract extension....

#1. As has been reported already (I believe) the previous rumors regarding Radulov demanding an 8 year contract are "completely absurd."

#2. Alex does indeed LOVE Montreal. Everything about it...the Fans, his teammates, the culture, the city, his role on the team....and he especially likes the team's direction with Claude Julien...

#3. He does however have some serious options on other teams in the NHL..and some good friends on other teams who are already playing the high school game of "she likes you, do you like her?"

#4. Radulov has made plenty of money in his career, and also has been in a city that didn't really work for him previously....and my source says that does play into this. He wants to stay in Montreal, but how much of a hometown discount is a good question...
