First off, I hope all of you in the PA, MD, DE, and NJ area are safe as we continue to get rain and River Flooding Warnings.. It is getting closer and closer to where I live now. First time the kids have ever had off for a RAIN day. The water is only about 3 miles from here, but fortunately I am on some of the higher grounds around. I am thinking and praying for the many along the Schuykill and Susquehanna Rivers. Stay safe...

Now, off to the rumors..

Buffalo, LA or Detroit, and Semin?
I wouldn't call this a slam dunk. And I would definitely put this in the "how with no cap space can they do this category" but I have been hearing rumors that the Sabres have a strong interest in Alex Semin. As per the usual there MUST be more to this and the Sabres must be looking to make another move or Washington be willing to take serious money back.

I have also heard that the Wings and even the Kings have kept with Semin contingency plans...The Red Wings makes perhaps the most sense, but LA is still trying to make a move pre announcing any Doughty deal. So we will see.

On Montreal and Winnipeg...

Bits and pieces again, but somehow the Wild play into this as well. And the Jets may be backing away from anything major...according to some out there..

working on for a blog this afternoon...

1. Will Malkin have his biggest year to date?
2. Are the Flyers still "a tweak away depending on whether or not certain youngsters appear ready?
3. Is there a major goalie trade that could go down before the start of the season?
