What player do you see the Islanders acquiring EK if any? Thanks!

First iff, LOVE your avatar. Jim Henson was a huge inspiration to so many…As for the Islanders, They are hoping to grab Duchene, not in on Landeskog….However, its really up to Sakic. He doesn’t appear to be under any great pressure to make a move, and because of that many don’t feel he will move either player…The Islanders would have to give Hamonic as part of the deal. The big issue is “Should Garth throw all of his eggs into that basket and risk being shutout?” I know they have talked to Dallas about Eaves and Sharp, but so far they don’t appear to be putting much energy win that direction.

Thats a great question. And something I always look into…I have herd some rumblings about Jason Spezza….but let me get back to you on this one… I will talk about this and ask Kevin Allen on tomorrow’s buzzcast…

Hey Ek, how do you see the Cammalleri situation in NJ turning out? They have a bit of an issue with the Expansion Draft and could be taking a risk if they trade him since they would likely have to expose a key player (Zajac/Palmieri)... Could the Devils trade for a high salary vet just to expose him this off-season?

I think Cammalleri is a player that may have just lost a step or this is a wake-up call. As for the second part…I wouldn’t be too surprised to see a few teams make those sort of deals and I know some teams who are hoping they will.
