3 Starters Just Waiting ....On Halak, Ellis and Biron |

There are many rumors surfacing right now surrounding these 3 goalies...here's what I know...
On Halak...
I am not 100% convinced that Halak is a starter in the NHL. I simply don't know yet as I am a believer that you need to see a player in that role for an extended period. Bringing him in as a starter is risky for certain. Sportsnet.ca has reported that Halak is being actively shopped. I make it a point never to dispute rumors. I have the upmost respect for the guys at Sportsnet. My sources however on Halak are more along the lines that the Canadiens continue to be listening to ideas and possibilities for Halak. It is basically the same stance they have had since the summer. If anything the fact that Price has been hot and cold this season has left the Canadiens a little more hesitant to move Halak. The Hawks, Flyers, Kings, and Thrashers have shown interest in Halak
On Ellis...
Dan Ellis is a starting goalie in the NHL. That much we do know, and yet Rinne has be very strong and essentially taken over the #1 job through his phenomenal play. Ellis did not lose the starter job in Nashville as much as Rinne took it. Teams have talked quite a bit to Nashville about Ellis over the past year and a half. It wasn't that long ago that Ellis nearly stole a series from the Red Wings team that went on to carry the Cup. The Flyers, Red Wings Lightning and Leafs have had interest in Ellis.
On Biron...
Marty Biron is also a starter, and like Ellis has shown a capacity to steal games and come up huge. Were it not for Biron the Flyers never would have come close to seeing the Conference Finals two years ago and wouldn't have stretched the Penguins as far as he did. Also Biron is a very positive influence on a team's psyche. Biron will not be moved unless Dipietro proves he is once again 100%. The Sabres, Flyers, Thrashers, and Blackhawks have interest.
