If anyone had the first week of November in the "When will Radek Martinek be on the IR" pool -- you won.
We knew it was just a matter of time. He's never played a full season yet. This one will be no different. Sadly, I didn't expect it to ruin his ENTIRE season, but according to Katie Strang's Twitter announcement, he's done for the year.
Well, well... I guess that means Mr. Snow can go and buy/rent/steal a good defenseman in good conscience. Hear that Garth? Pick up the phone and find one.
The Captain is out for a week as well. That may hurt them more than the loss of Martinek. They do play differently with Weight in the line-up.
We will see what happens tonight when they play the Thrashers in their last home game until the end of November. I'll be there tonight, but I think I owe Brian money. I think HE had the first week of November in the pool. I was hoping for Thanksgiving.
Rats! I lose again.
