5:41 pm: A little back-peddling on the net. Newsday's Art Staple is reporting from his sources (meaning from the Isles) that the Isles "Wouldn't say they are out..." of the running, but the others are definitely in.

Which basically means ... someone got a phone call.

As of 4:13 pm, Newsday's Art Staple re-tweeted an RDS account saying that the LA Kings will take the best offer from the Maple Leafs, the Flyers or the MN Wild for Jonathan Bernier.

Whether what they were looking for was too rich for the Isles blood, or if it means they no longer need a competent goalie, we will have to wait and see.

Now on the Daniel Briere front, it looks like the NJ Devils may be an even better fit for him than the Isles as he wouldn't even have to change his driver's license.

The NHL Draft is only eight days away. Things are happening behind the scenes left and right. When will something happen for the Isles? Good question. Wish I had an answer.

Have you ordered your tickets to the Draft Party for next Sunday yet?
