The Wild are on a winning streak for the first time since October 29th and their offense has awoken scoring nine goals in the last two games. Consistency is what the Wild are looking for and as they begin a five game road trip there is no better time for them to build on the last two wins.

The Blues won the first meeting back on opening night 3-2 in St. Louis, and both teams have experienced the ups and downs since that meeting. They enter the game with almost identical records, with both trying to establish themselves as the calendar is approaching December.

The Wild have played two complete 60 minute games in a row and that needs to be a continuing trend for them. They have a talented group, but the effort has been up and down on too many nights. That has been maddening to Wild fans for a very long time.

Bruce Boudreau has established his system with the Wild, through the first two months of the season. He says it like it is and his players know exactly where they stand with him. He has also experienced the frustration of the Wild's lackluster efforts first hand.

The learning experience for both players and coach are starting to show results. This five game road trip is coming at a great time, as the road can be a great place for teams to bond and build chemistry.

The Wild powerplay erupted for three goals yesterday and has scored in four straight games. That is a great sign heading into St. Louis as the Blues are one of the most penalized teams in the NHL.

A big two Central Division points on the line today, the Wild need to keep the 60 minute effort up to get them.
